I think theres too much pressure for both guys and girls to have a boyfriend or girlfriend because it always seems as though it is cool to have a significant other.
My opinion? Dont stress if you cant find a girl or boy to call you own. Bfs and gfs are not all that great either. It takes a tremendous amount of work and effort to make it happen and sometimes there are people who are unable to put in the effort. Thus resulting in a breakup.

I think for your situation, you shouldnt feel pressured to get a girl. There isnt a race to see how many girls you can get. It might seem as though there is, but, dont listen to that crap.

You dont say how old you are, but I think you may be new at this. What type of girl do you want? Go where the girls are. Join the choir, or try out for the play, or join Student Council. Too nerdy? Talk to a girl in your class, and ask her about an assignment. During a fire drill, comment on the weather. Find casual conversation and make small talk. Its a skill that you can learn, but it takes practice. I promise, itll get easier. The girls are there, but they are waiting for you to make the first move.

I would say first off to make sure your grooming is top notch! Make sure you are freshly showered, teeth brushed and clean clothes every day. Even if a guy is cute, its a real turn off if he smells in any way. The next thing is just being yourself, because thats the only person you can really be. True, some girls go for outgoing guys but others dont and kind of appreciate a guy whos on the shy, quiet side. Be thoughtful and kind when talking to or about anyone. Another tip would be to find what makes you happy and do it. If you have a hobby, join a club or group involving that hobby. It may be a sport, or anything at all but if you persue what you love, you will meet girls there as well as enjoy yourself. Now even if you are shy, if you are both at a game, a club meeting, an event…you already have something in common to talk about and its entirely possible it will turn in to something more. Well, Ive been there, and its tricky. It often depends on timing, patience, compatibility, and mentality, among other things. Dont look at it as I dont have a girl, but rather, I havent found the right girl yet. Be yourself, and dont be afraid to put yourself out there a little. You may just catch somebodys attention.
