My Daughter wants to get MARRIED?? Pl help!!!?
OK, so my daughter whose 21 became a Muslim when she was 19. And it seems to have really helped her. Now she wants to get married, she was never into dating/sleeping around, but….
she tells me that I have to accompany her if she meets any potential suitors. And that there is no dating/physical contact but that the couple get to know each other than after while its straight to marriage.
I think it is good that Ill be there in that at least I know the guy isnt using her etc. But I dint know what to say, its a strange situation. Any advice?
Wow, this is exactly my situation. Well, it was when I was that age.
And yes, there is no physical contact allowed until marriage. If they get engaged, in Islam its just as if their married, but havent had a wedding yet. Just treat them as though they are engaged. Ask the guy questions that you would normally ask him if they were just dating (ie. What are your future plans, that kind of thing).

well, as a muslim, make sure he prays five times a day.
thats considered wajib in Islam, a must
in Islam, prayer will actually prevent him from doing bad things
so, yeah,
just trust him anyway

Talk to her about what role youre supposed to play when she meets these men – do you participate and ask questions, sit nearby and watch? Ask her if there are other Muslim fathers she knows who would explain this process to you.
