My ex boyfriend is trying to move into the condo him and I bought. I do not want him there and I dint know whoa?

I had lived in my condo as a renter for 3 years then the man I was supposed to marry and I bought it. 5 months later he left me and moved out. Now, a year later he is trying to move back into it to be my roommate. Do I have any legal rights to keep him out? He has still been paying his half the whole time he has been out.

well if he has been paying for it he has just as much right to there as you (legally) Im afraid the only way to get out of having him move in is either buy him out (if he agrees) or try and talk to him about it. but legally you cant stop him

Yeah he has legal rights as long as his names on the mortgage and hes making his share of the payments. Why didnt you get a lawyer involved when he moved out? This situation wasnt going to go away on its own.

You can buy his half or sell your half to him. If he refuses either option, look for a lawyer who can advise you on what to do.

no legal rights at all. youll have to buy his share of the condo in order for you to be able to say no he cant live there. sounds a bit f ucking selfish to me, what you expect him just to forfeit his hard earned cash cause you had a falling out? 17 months worth of repayments? i would be angry, very angry, but if you can get the cash to give back to him, and then take on all the repayments by yourself, thats ok. otherwise, have fun in what looks like an awkward living arrangement

first off is he on the lease, if he is not then he is shit out of luck and you are good to go, you dont have to pay him back or anything.

if he is on the lease, your only legal option i can think of is to try to get a restraining order on him. since both of you own the place and he has been paying on it he technically has every right to move in there. if you get a restraining order you can then petition to get him off of the lease. you are probably going to end up losing the place or having to pay him back all that he spent on it to keep it.

anyways there is no good way to do that. there is no way that you are going to be able to keep the place with out him being able to live there if he wants to. for you i hope he is not on the lease if he is you need to get a lawyer because you are going to have to get yours or his name off of that lease.
