well this is really devistating?
Me and my ex were becoming friends last semester.. really good friends this leading to me liking him again. Turns out someone told him i wasn’t over him, we talked about it and he told me he could just stop talking to me if it made me like him? I haven’t talked to him since than and hes made no effort to talk to me today i was in a class room at lunch and than he walked in.. my friend told me when he saw i was in there he almost left. What i don’t get is why.. its not like i harass him for all he knows i don’t even care.. so why would he be this way?
Duh, he already told you. If he talks to you it will it only make you continue to like him. Sorry to be so brutal but it seems like he flat out told you he doesnt want to talk to you anymore.

I think he is afraid of getting into a deep relationship so he tries to avoid it. It is not your fault.

I could be wrong but it sounds like he cares for you [Im not saying he wants to get back together with you] and he just wants to make things easier for you. If you want to keep hanging out as friends then youll probably have to reassure that you dont want your feelings for him to get in the way of the friendship.

its because he doesnt want you to start liking him again, and he thinks if he avoids you then thats the best way to do that. really i think thats very nice of him to care enough to not want to hurt your feelings again… sorry

Just be friends with him. Start talking to another guy as far as dating goes. Or you can just telling him you are dating someone and you only want to be friends with him. Other wise you will not be friends, because thats all he is wanting from you. You have to accept that.

I see this as your fault.
I dont think you clearly told him that you LIKE him. He is your ex, he probably doesnt have feelings for you anymore. If you guys talked about it, he probably thought that you wanted to get with him.
Hes trying hard for you not to like him because its obviously only gonna hurt you. Just talk to him through the phone about it. Clear the air tell him that you guys are gonna stay friends.
You are making him feel uncomfortable because you said you liked him, but you never said that youd understand if he didnt return the feelings. (:
